## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT NOTICED THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE GEAR WAS PLACED IN THE DOWN POSITION. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CYCLE THE LANDING GEAR A FEW TIMES AND THE LEFT MAIN DOWN LIGHT REMAINED OFF. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO MANUALLY EXTENT THE LANDING GEAR AND THE LEFT MAIN LIGHT REMAINED OFF. PILOT DID A FLY BY AND THE GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN TO PERSONNEL ON THE GROUND. PILOT LANDED AIRCRAFT AND UPON TOUCHDOWN THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RECOVERED AND TAKEN TO MAINTENANCE TO EVALUATE THE CAUSE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
