## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE PERFORMING AIR TOUR RIDES AT THE BLOOMSBURG PA FAIRGROUNDS, THE HELICOPTER BEGUN TO SPIN ON APPROACH TO THE HELIPAD. THE HELICOPTER SPUN CLOCKWISE TWO AND A HALF TIMES BEFORE IMPACTING THE GROUND AND NUMEROUS PARKED VEHICLES. THE HELICOPTER CAME TO REST ON THE LEFT SIDE ON A HEADING OF 143 DEGREES MAGNETIC. THE HELICOPTER WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. FLIGHT CONTROL CONTINUITY WAS ESTABLISHED TO THE TAIL ROTOR. NO PRE ACCIDENT MECHANICAL ISSUES WERE NOTED. NIGHT VISUAL METEROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA19LA285](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA19LA285), Sep 28, 2019: Enstrom F28 (N380SH), Bloomsburg, PA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain proper forward airspeed and power during final approach, which resulted in a loss of tail rotor effectiveness and impact with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
