## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PART 91 POSITIONING FLIGHT WITH NO PASSENGERS FROM MDW TO ORD, AIRCRAFT ENTERED THE SIGNATURE FLIGHT SUPPORT RAMP. THE CREW REPORTED THAT RAMP PERSONNEL WERE NOT PRESENT. THEY TAXIED FORWARD ON THE RAMP, WHEN A LONE MARSHALLER INDICATED TO PARK BEHIND WHERE THE AIRCRAFT WAS. THE FLIGHT CREW CONDUCTED A 180 DEGREE TURN. COMPLETING THE TURN THE AIRCRAFT WAS CLOSE TO A BLAST FENCE. THE CREW REPORTED MIXED SIGNALS FROM THE MARSHALLER. THE PILOT MONITORING OCCUPYING THE RIGHT SEAT CALLED OUT ?WING IS CLEAR, YOU ARE OVER THE WHITE LINE?. ONCE THE TURN WAS COMPLETED, THE PILOT MONITORING STARTED LOOKING AT THE GROUND PERSONNEL AND STOPPED OBSERVING THE WING CLEARANCE. THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THAT THEY WERE NOT COGNIZANT OF THE FACT THAT THEY WERE DRIFTING TO THE RIGHT TOWARDS THE FENCE. THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED MOVING FORWARD APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET AT A SHALLOW ANGLE TO THE FENCE BEFORE STRIKING THE BLAST FENCE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WINGLET, AND FENCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
