## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT WAS ON THE 3RD LANDING OF HER 3RD SOLO FLIGHT. THE PIC APPROACHED THE RUNWAY AT A STEEP ANGLE CAUSING THE NOSE GEAR TO TOUCH THE GROUND FIRST. THE AIRPLANE PORPOISED TWICE BEFORE THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AND FOLDED UNDER THE AIRPLANE. AFTER THE GEAR COLLAPSED THE AIRPLANE CONTINUED DOWN THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY WHERE THE NOSE GEAR WENT INTO THE GRASS AND FLIPPED OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA20CA091](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA20CA091), Oct 24, 2019: Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecna P2004 (N639BV), Apopka, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's improper landing flare, which resulted in a hard, bounced landing and subsequent nose-over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
