## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE SOLO ENDORSED PILOT DEPARTED 69G UNDER MARGINAL VFR AND FLEW TO HIS PARENTS FARM IN WILLIAMSTON AND CHOSE TO LAND IN A CORN FIELD ADJACENT TO HIS PARENTS HOME TO VISIT. WHEN DEPARTING TO CONTINUE ON WITH HIS FLIGHT MUD ACCUMULATED ON THE WHEELS AND CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO NOSE OVER ON ITS BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN20CA027](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN20CA027), Nov 30, 2019: Skystar Kitfox (N58CD), Williamston, MI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper decision to continue taxiing the airplane on unsuitable terrain, which resulted in a nose-over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
