## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ON APPROACH TO LANDING AT GSO. HE SELECTED THE GEAR DOWN AND WENT THROUGH IS FLOW TWICE TO ENSURE THE GEAR LEVER WAS IN THE DOWN POSITION. HE WAS THEN DISTRACTED IN LOOKING FOR THE TRAFFIC HE WAS INSTRUCTED TO FOLLOW IN BY ATC. HE DID NOT CONFIRM THE GEAR DOWN LIGHTS. UPON TOUCH DOWN, THE PILOT REALIZED THERE WAS AN ISSUE BUT THOUGHT THE BRAKES WERE FROZEN. HE THEN REALIZED IT WAS THE FLOATS SKIDDING ON THE GROUND. HE DETERMINED THAT HE WAS DECELERATING TO RAPIDLY TO EXECUTE A GO AROUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
