## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UPON SELECTION OF BETA DURING LANDING ROLLOUT, PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT WHICH THEN DEPARTED THE RUNWAY. RIGHT MAIN MOUNT COLLAPSED WHICH RESULTED IN RIGHT WING AND PROP DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20LA054](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20LA054), Dec 30, 2019: Mitsubishi MU2B (N43866), Big Piney, WY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the right propeller position to correspond to the throttle change when moved to the beta position for reasons that could not be determined based on available evidence.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
