## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 4, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 0000CST A CIRRUS SR22T AIRPLANE N69HE STRUCK A DEER ON THE RUNWAY DURING THE LANDING ROLL AT THE HALL-MILLER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KATA) IN ATLANTA, TEXAS. INITIAL CONTACT WITH THE DEER WAS TO THE PROPELLER. THIS CONTACT CAUSED ONE PROPELLER TO SEPARATE FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND THE DEER WENT ON TO MAKE CONTACT WITH THE RIGHT WING. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATELY AND TOWED BACK TO THE HANGER FOR ASSESSMENT. CONTACTED AIRPORT MANAGER AND DISCOVERED THERE IS CURRENTLY NO WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES IN PLACE AT THIS AIRPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
