## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD A BATTERY POWER CAUTION, ON HIS ASPEN UNIT, WHILE ON INSTRUMENT APPROACH TO KAVP (25 MILES). HE REQUESTED CLEARANCE TO TURN BACK TO HOME BASE (39N). WHILE ON APPROACH TO 39N, HE EXPERIENCED COMPLETE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER. RAN ALTERNATE GEAR EXTENSION CHECKLIST, BUT COULD NOT GET GEAR SAFE INDICATION DUE TO LOSS OF POWER. NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED DURING LANDING. AIRCRAFT STOPPED ON RUNWAY APPROXIMATELY 50 FEET FROM THE END. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
