## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ENROUTE FROM CPU TO OAK PILOT EXPERIENCED SEVERE ENGINE RELATED VIBRATION. THERE WAS NO INDICATION AT TIME AS TO CAUSE, PILOT REPORTED NOT STRIKING ANYTHING. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AT C83. UPON SHUTDOWN IT WAS DISCOVERED 5 INCHES OF PROPELLER BLADE TIP HAD SEPARATED FROM PROPELLER. REVIEW OF PICTURES INDICATE A PREVIOUS REPAIR WAS NOT BLENDED DEEP ENOUGH. A SMALL CORROSION POCKET CAN BE SEEN IN LEADING EDGE OF THE CORD OF THE BLADE. METAL APPEARS TO HAVE SEPARATED ABRUPTLY WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE A BRITTLE FRACTURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
