## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING REPOSITION FROM EAST COAST TO WEST COAST SANTA MARIA AIRPORT (SMX). N336AX HAD STOPS AT LIT AND ABQ. N336AX DEPARTED ABQ AT 1710 PST. THE APPROACH AND TOUCH DOWN AT SMX WERE NORMAL. DURING ROLLOUT AFTER THE CHUTE WAS DEPLOYED AT ABOUT 110KTS, THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO VEER LEFT. THE PILOT TRIED TO CORRECT WITH FULL RIGHT RUDDER AND BRAKING. THE AIRCRAFT HIT TWO RUNWAY MARKERS BEFORE THE RIGHT BRAKING OVER CAME THE DRAG OF THE LEFT TIRE. N336AX CAME TO A STOP TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY WITH 3000 FEET LEFT. THE LEFT MAIN DID GO OFF THE SIDE OF THE RUN WAY BEFORE THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE STEERING.

THIS REPORT WILL BE AMENDED AS NECESSARY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
