## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT WAS LOST ON APPROACH TO LANDING. PILOTS STATED THEY FELT LIKE SOMETHING BROKE AND CAUSED AIRCRAFT TO YAW TO THE RIGHT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20LA110](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20LA110), Mar 16, 2020: Piper PA22 (N4837Z), Pinedale, WY, substantial damage. Probable cause: A loss of airplane control during approach for reasons that could not be determined based on available evidence.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System.
