## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT LANDED NORMALLY ON RUNWAY 17 AT THE CENTRAL NEBRASKA REGIONAL AIRPORT AT GRAND ISLAND, NE. AFTER LANDING, AS THE PILOT BEGAN TO APPLY THE BRAKES NEAR TAXIWAY C EXIT THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR LOWER BARREL ASSEMBLY SEPARATED FROM THE UPPER CYLINDER. THE AIRCRAFT SLID ON THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR UPPER CYLINDER FOR 56 FT AND CAME TO A REST ON THE RIGHT EDGE OF RUNWAY 17. ONE OF THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS THAT REMOVED THE AIRCRAFT FROM THE RUNWAY FOUND THE BROKEN BOLT LYING ON THE RUNWAY SURFACE APPROXIMATELY 100 YARDS NORTH OF WHERE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A REST.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
