## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE OUTSIDE THE AIRCRAFT, THE AIRCRAFT OWNER ROTATED THE PROPELLER BY HAND IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF NORMAL ROTATION IN AN ATTEMPT TO CLEAR A PERCEIVED FLOODED-ENGINE CONDITION. UPON THE FOURTH OR FIFTH ROTATION, THE OWNER STATED THE ENGINE STARTED AND WENT TO THE FULL RPM. WITH NO OCCUPANTS ONBOARD, THE AIRCRAFT MOVED ACROSS THE AIRPORT RAMP, MOMENTARILY GOING AIRBORNE BEFORE THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. THE AIRCRAFT SET DOWN ON THE TAXIWAY, STRUCK A TAXI LIGHT WITH THE MAIN LANDING GEAR AND STRUCK THE GROUND WITH THE WING TIP. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST AFTER ROTATING 180 DEGREES IN THE GRASS ON THE ADJACENT TAXIWAY. AIRCRAFT RECORDS REVIEWED DURING THE POST-INCIDENT INVESTIGATION INDICATED THE MIXTURE CONTROL WAS PREVIOUSLY WIRED IN THE ?FULL RICH? POSITION AND THE CONTROL MARKED INOP. A POST-INCIDENT INTERVIEW WITH THE OWNER INDICATED THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE IS SHUT DOWN AFTER EACH FLIGHT UTILIZING THE MAGNETO SWITCH.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
