## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ATC IN MELBOURNE, FLORIDA (MLB), REPORTED AIRCRAFT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER, N8315, A VANS AIRCRAFT RV10, WHILE TAXIING FOR DEPARTURE RUNWAY 9R THE RIGHT BRAKE CAUGHT ON FIRE. AIRPORT FIRE AND RESCUE RESPONDED AND PUT FIRE OUT. THE WINGS WERE DE-MATED BY A MAINTENANCE TEAM AND TRANSPORTED TO MASSEY RANCH AIRPARK (X50) IN NEW SMYRNA BEACH FOR REPAIRS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
