## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING ROLLOUT, THE PILOT APPLIED BRAKES AND THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT WING CONTACTED THE GROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY SURFACE TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT, THE SINGLE OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNINJURED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED BY A LOCAL MECHANIC AND AN FAA AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR. THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED DUE TO COMPONENT FAILURE. THE FAILED PART AS IDENTIFIED IN THE MANUFACTURER'S PARTS MANUAL, SHAFT ASSY, PART NUMBER 0894000-9. THE COMPONENT EXHIBITED INTERNAL CORROSION (RUST) ASSOCIATED WITH A CRACK EXTENDING THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 90% OF THE COMPONENT. THE CRACKED SHAFT ASSEMBLY WAS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR AT THE FORWARD LANDING GEAR PIVOT POINT. THE FAILURE OF THE FORWARD SHAFT, PLACED BENDING FORCES ON THE AFT SHAFT CAUSING IT TO FAIL AND THE GEAR TO SEPARATE FROM THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
