## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 12, 2020 STUDENT-PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS PERFORMING SOLO TOUCH-AND-GO'S IN N5897C A 1973 CESSNA 182P AT NEWNAN COWETA COUNTY AIRPORT (CCO). ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ATTEMPTED HIS SECOND TOUCH-AND-GO LANDING ON RUNWAY 15. THE LANDING WAS SMOOTH AND DOWN THE CENTERLINE OF THE RUNWAY.^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ RAISED THE ELECTRIC FLAPS, SMOOTHLY PUSHED THE THROTTLE UP TO FULL POWER AND APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER. AS THE AIRCRAFT ACCELERATED IT PULLED TO THE LEFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ APPLIED ADDITIONAL RUDDER PRESSURE, BUT COULD NOT OVERCOME THE AIRCRAFT'S PULL TO THE LEFT. AS THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHED THE LEFT EDGE OF THE RUNWAY, THE RIGHT WING DIPPED SCRUBBING THE RIGHT WINGTIP CAP ON THE RUNWAY. WHEN THE WING DIPPED THE PROPELLER TIPS ALSO CONTACTED THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT PULLED THE POWER BACK AS HE EXITED THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS. ONCE ON THE GRASS HE STEERED THE AIRCRAFT TO A FULL STOP PARALLEL TO TAXIWAY BRAVO. HE SHUT THE AIRCRAFT DOWN, EXITED THE AIRCRAFT, AIRPORT PERSONNEL ARRIVED, AND TOWED THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE RAMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
