## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED HE LOST THRUST FROM THE LEFT ENGINE DURING THE APPROACH TO LAND ON RUNWAY 36 AT LEE'S SUMMIT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (LXT). THE PILOT FURTHER STATED HE PUSHED THE THROTTLES FORWARD IN AN ATTEMPT TO INCREASE THRUST AND ARREST THE DECENT BUT THE LEFT ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND TO THE THROTTLE MOVEMENT. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY LAND THE AIRCRAFT ON A NEARBY HIGHWAY. ON LANDING, THE LEFT AIRCRAFT WING MADE CONTACT WITH A ROAD SIGN CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE WING TIP AND NAVIGATION LIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
