## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 25TH N4KK WAS CLEARED TO LAND RUNWAY 29 AT PENDLETON AIRPORT. AFTER TOUCHDOWN A WIND GUST CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO BECOME AIRBORNE AGAIN. N4KK RETURNED TO THE GROUND AT A SLIGHT ANGLE AND AS THE PILOT STRAIGHTENED THE AIRCRAFT DOWN THE RUNWAY THE LEFT HAND WHEEL AXLE BROKE AND THE TIRE ASSEMBLY ROLLED DOWN THE RUNWAY. N4KK VEERED TO THE RIGHT OF THE RUNWAY. AS THE DAMAGED LANDING GEAR CAME OFF OF THE ASPHALT IT DROVE INTO THE DIRT AND CAUSED THE PROP TO STRIKE THE GROUND. THE AIRPLANE STOPPED ABOUT A FOOT OFF THE ASPHALT. THIS AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN ALTERED WITH STC SA01765SE PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
