## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC/CFI STATEMENT...ASKED STUDENT TO EXECUTE A LOW APPROACH OVER THE RUNWAY. DURING THE LOW APPROACH THE STUDENT RAISED THE NOSE WITHOUT ADDING SUFFICIENT POWER CAUSING AIRSPEED TO

DECREASE. I DIRECTED HIM TO LOWER THE NOSE AND ADD POWER BUT HE WAS SLOW TO RESPOND. I ADDED POWER AND PUSHED THE STICK FORWARD SLIGHTLY (HELPING THE STUDENT ON THE CONTROLS RATHER THAN

TAKING THE CONTROLS). I THEN ADDED FULL POWER. MY REACTION WAS NOT SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT THE STALL AND THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO YAW LEFT DESPITE FULL RIGHT RUDDER. WITH BOTH OF US ON THE CONTROLS, I WAS NOT ABLE TO ARREST THE YAW AND RE-ESTABLISH FLYING SPEED. THE AIRPLANE POINTED TOWARD THE GRASS

ON THE LEFT (SOUTH) SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. WE IMPACTED THE GRASS ON THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND CAME TO REST POINTED APPROXIMATELY SOUTH EAST.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
