## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT PILOT, OPERATING THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO OTHER SOULS ON BOARD, LANDED HIS THORP T-18 (SERIAL NUMBER 1325) AT A PRIVATELY OWNED GRASS LANDING STRIP NEAR MADISONVILLE, TN. THE PILOT ANTICIPATED THE GROUND WOULD BE SOFT DUE TO RECENT RAIN. UPON AIRCRAFT TOUCHDOWN, THE PILOT STATED HE DECIDED TO CONTINUE THE ROLLOUT BUT ERRONEOUSLY APPLIED AIRCRAFT BRAKES. THE BRAKING CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO TIP FORWARD CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER, THE CANOPY AND VERTICAL STABILIZER/RUDDER ASSEMBLY. ONLY THE PILOT SUSTAINED INJURIES WHICH WERE MINOR. NO OTHER CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE FOUND.
