## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 31, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 13:50 CDT, N7914N A PIPER PA-28-180, REGISTERED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, OPERATED BY AN PRIVATE PILOT EXPERIENCED A PROPELLER SPINNER FAILURE. IN VFR CRUSE FLIGHT WITH ATC FLIGHT FOLLOWING FROM SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA DOWNTOWN AIRPORT (DTN) TO MOBERLY, MISSOURI (MBY) THE PILOT REPORTED HEARING A LOUD BANG AND A SLIGHT ENGINE VIBRATION. A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING WAS MADE IN HARRISON, ARKANSAS (HRO), INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED THE PROPELLER SPINNER HAD FAILED AND HAD DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT, AND PORTIONS OF THE FIBERGLASS SPINNER WERE IN PLACE UNDER ATTACHMENT SCREWS. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
