## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20CA173](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20CA173), Jun 2, 2020: Cessna 170 (N8282A), Butte, MT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain airplane control during landing in turbulent conditions.

## Other reports on N8282A (1)

- [Accident 19750705019989A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19750705019989A), Jul 5, 1975: Cessna 170 (N8282A), Redmond, OR, Substantial damage. Left axle broke causing left gear strut to breakoff. Type failure not determined.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
