## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT CONDUCTED A WHEEL LANDING ON RUNWAY 4, AT THE PROPER SPEED AND LANDED ON RUNWAY CENTERLINE. THE AIRPLANE SWERVED TO THE LEFT AND THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO TURN RIGHT. THE PILOT APPLIED FULL POWER TO GO AROUND, GOT AIRBORNE ABOUT 15 FT, BUT WAS UNABLE TO PRODUCE ENOUGH POWER TO COMPLETE THE GO AROUND. THE PILOT LANDED, AND GROUND LOOPED THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20CA168](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20CA168), Jun 4, 2020: Stinson 108 (N87607), Yakima, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during an aborted landing, which resulted in a ground loop, runway excursion, and subsequent nose over.

## Other reports on N87607 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19911012045879A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19911012045879A), Oct 12, 1991: Univar 108 (N87607), Susanville, CA, Substantial damage. Stalled turning base to final for landing. Pilot stated he did not have his mind on flying aircraft properly.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
