## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 4, 2020, AT 0955 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME, A BEECHCRAFT A-23, N7941L, LOST TOTAL ENGINE POWER WHILE CRUISING AT 1200 FEET AGL. THE PILOT MADE AN OFF-AIRPORT FORCED LANDING IN A FIELD 6 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE CLEBURNE AIRPORT (CPT). THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON A GRAVEL ROAD UNTIL THE ROAD TURNED. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED STRAIGHT INTO SOME BRUSH. THE PILOT WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON BOARD AND DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN20LA211](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN20LA211), Jun 4, 2020: Beech 23 (N7941L), Cleburne, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The total loss of engine power due to metal fatigue failure of the No. 1 cylinder wall.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
