## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON A VMC VISUAL APPROACH TO RWY 24 AT PUNXSUTAWNEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, N35, PUNXSUTAWNY, PA, THE PIC OF N1582X (PA-28R-200) FAILED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR. WHILE OVER THE RUNWAY THE AIRCRAFT HAD NUMEROUS PROP STRIKES. THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY STRIKING A RUNWAY EDGE IDENTIFIER LIGHT WITH THE LEADING EDGE OF THE RIGHT WING. THE PIC AT THAT POINT INITIATED A GO AROUND. THE PIC THEN MANEUVERED THE AIRCRAFT TO IMMEDIATELY LAND THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION ON RWY 06. UPON APPROACH AND LANDING TO RWY 06, THE LANDING GEAR HAD STILL NOT BEEN EXTENDED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED GEAR UP ON RWY 06 AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE RUNWAY SURFACE. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. PIC WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON BOARD. AIRCRAFT N1582X SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT BELLY, RIGHT WING FUEL TANK, AND PROPELLER DURING THE GEAR UP LANDING AND SUBSEQUENT SUDDEN STOPPAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
