## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ON A RETURN FLIGHT FROM KAFJ TO 1G1. AIRPORT CONDITIONS: DAY VFR, GOOD VISIBILITY, WIND LIGHT AND VARIABLE. PILOT SET UP FOR A LANDING AND INITIATED A GO AROUND ON FIRST ATTEMPT AS HE WAS TOO HIGH AND NOT IN A NORMAL POSITION TO LAND. PILOT RETRACTED THE GEAR AND REMAINED IN THE PATTERN FOR ANOTHER APPROACH AND LANDING. UPON TOUCHING DOWN THE PILOT HEARD THE GEAR WARNING HORN AS HE WAS SETTLING THE AIRCRAFT ONTO THE RUNWAY WITH THE GEAR STILL RETRACTED. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE SIMPLY NEGLECTED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR IN ERROR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
