## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WITH LIGHT WINDS FROM THE SOUTHEAST, THE PILOT DEPARTED FROM HIS 700 FOOT EAST/WEST DRIVEWAY TO THE NORTHEAST AND LANDED AT A NEARBY GRASS RUNWAY. HE PICKED UP A PASSENGER AND RETURNED TO HIS DRIVEWAY FOR HIS DAUGHTER TO TAKE PICTURES AS THEY FLEW BY. AS HE APPROACHED HIS DRIVEWAY FROM THE EAST, AT AN ALTITUDE HE THOUGHT WAS ABOVE THE POWER LINES, HE APPLIED POWER TO GAIN ALTITUDE AND HOOKED THE POWER LINE WITH THE LEFT REAR TIRE WHICH BROUGHT THEM RIGHT TO THE GROUND..

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN20CA275](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN20CA275), Jul 5, 2020: Condor Condor (N3502X), Freedom, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to initiate a climb in a timely manner which resulted in contact with wires.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
