## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CLIMB OUT FROM LNS THE CREW NOTICED AN ODOR THEN SAW OIL PRESSURE FALLING. CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND TURNED BACK TO LNS. WHILE ON LEFT BASE THE PROPELLER ROTATION STOPPED. AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT LNS. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION BY MAINTENANCE, AN ELBOW FITTING ATTACH POINT WAS FOUND TO BE BROKEN ON THE OIL PRESSURE TUBE, THIS ALLOWED IT TO SHIFT FORWARD AND EXPOSE THE O-RING SEAL AT THE OIL PRESSURE TUBE CAUSING A RAPID LOSS OF ENGINE OIL. THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PART FAILURE IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. THE OPERATOR HAS CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT THE PART FAILURE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY AT LANCASTER AIRPORT (LNS).

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
