THE PILOT IN COMMAND LANDED THE CE-182 AIRPLANE AT TOKETEE STATE AIRPORT. DURING ROLL OUT, THE AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED A DRAINAGE DITCH OBSCURED BY TALL GRASS. THE SUBSEQUENT IMPACT CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE THE CE-182.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20CA254](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20CA254), Jul 22, 2020: Cessna 182 (N9747H), Clearwater, OR, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's improper pitch attitude during the soft-field landing roll, which resulted in the tail striking the runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
