## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC DEPARTED ARLINGTON AIRPORT ENROUTE TO ORCAS ISLAND AIRPORT. PIC STATED, ON FINAL APPROACH TO ORCAS ISLAND AIRPORT, THAT HE WAS DISTRACTED WITH A HEADWIND AND WAS COMING IN TOO FAST. PIC STATED THAT HIS LANDING CHECKLIST FELL TO THE CABIN FLOOR AT SOME POINT ON THE DOWNWIND LEG AND COULD NOT/DID NOT USE THE CHECKLIST. PIC FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR, RESULTING IN A GEAR UP LANDING OF THE AIRCRAFT ON RUNWAY 16. THE AIRCRAFT SKID OFF RUNWAY 16 TO THE LEFT AND CAME TO REST ON THE GRASS/DIRT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
