## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 12R. DURING LANDING ROLLOUT THE AIRCRAFT ATTEMPTED TO TURN RIGHT ONTO TAXIWAY CHARLIE. THE PILOT FAILED TO COMPLETE THE TURN AND EXITED THE RUNWAY INTO THE DIRT. THE AIRCRAFT'S LEFT WING COLLIDED WITH THE TAXIWAY CHARLIE SIGN. THE AIRCRAFT THEN CROSSED OVER THE RUNWAY AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE DIRT BETWEEN RUNWAYS 12R, 30L AND TAXIWAY C. THE AIRCRAFT THEN DEPARTED THE AREA AND TAXIED TO IT'S HANGAR SPACE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20CA260](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20CA260), Aug 9, 2020: Evektor Aerotechnik Sportstar (N644SB), Las Vegas, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot's inadequate decision to make a premature turn onto a taxiway which resulted in a collision with a taxiway sign.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
