## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS FASTER THAN NORMAL APPROACH SPEED ON FINAL, RESULTING IN LONGER LANDING THAN AVAILABLE LANDING AREA ON GRAVEL BAR ON WULIK RIVER. PILOT GOT ENGINE AND PROP STOPPED, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO GET AIRCRAFT STOPPED BEFORE RUNNING OUT OF GRAVEL BAR AND ENDED UP NOSING OVER IN ABOUT TWO FEET OF WATER. ONE POB, NO INJURIES, MINOR DAMAGE (SCRATCHES TO LEADING EDGE OF WINGS AND ENGINE COWLING, MINOR DAMAGE TO PROP DURING RECOVERY EFFORT)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
