## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N749CT WAS ENROUTE TO FLOATHAVEN (0W7) FOR A FLY-IN. PRIOR TO THEIR DESTINATION, N749CT DID THREE (3) SPLASH AND GO. TWO (2) AT BIG LAKE AND ONE (1) AT LAKE WHATCOM. AFTER N749CT LANDED AT FLOATHAVEN, THE PILOT DECIDED TO GO TO HIS CABIN AT LAKE CAVANAUGH. UPON LANDING AT LAKE CAVANAUGH, THE AIRPLANE HIT THE WATER HARD AND BOUNCED BACK IN THE AIR. THE PILOT ADDED SOME POWER TO RECOVER. AS IT SETTLES BACK TO THE WATER, THE LEFT FRONT FLOAT STRUT BROKE, THE NOSE CONTINUED TO

FALL THROUGH AND ONE OF THREE CARBON FIBER BLADES CUT INTO THE TOP OF THE

FLOAT, BROKE FROM THE HUB AND LODGED IN THE FLOAT AFTER STOPPING THE ENGINE.

Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
