## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING THE APPROACH TO LANDING ON RUNWAY 14 THE PILOT FAILED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR, LANDING ON THE BELLY OF THE AIRCRAFT, DAMAGING THE CENTER PYLON, AN ANTENNA AND BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT STABILIZERS. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON ITS BELLY IN THE CENTER ON THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20CA286](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20CA286), Aug 24, 2020: Northrop F5 (N926TA), Reno, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to complete the pre-landing checklist due to a distraction which resulted in a gear-up landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
