## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT PERFORMED A NORMAL RUN-UP AT THE END OF RUNWAY 30. HE LOWERED THE FLAPS TO 20 DEGREES AND BEGAN THE TAKE-OFF RUN. HE PUSHED FORWARD ON THE YOKE AND RAISED THE TAILWHEEL. JUST AS THE TAILWHEEL LIFTED OFF THE RUNWAY THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT COULD NOT CORRECT THE LOSS IN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL BECAUSE THE TAILWHEEL WAS OFF THE GROUND AND THE RUDDER WAS NOT EFFECTIVE DUE TO THE LOW SPEED OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND GROUND-LOOPED CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING, HORIZONTAL STABILIZER AND ELEVATOR. THE PILOT TAXIED BACK TO HIS HANGAR AND SECURED THE AIRCRAFT INSIDE THE HANGAR.
