## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT REPORTED THAT HE WAS CLEARED TO LAND HIS TAILWHEEL RV-3 ON RUNWAY 6 RIGHT BY THE TOWER AT RYAN AIRFIELD (KRYN). WHEN AIRCRAFT WAS PASSING OVER THE NUMBERS AT ABOUT TEN FEET ABOVE THE RUNWAY, IN THE ROUNDOUT TRANSITION, HE SAID THAT HE NOTICED A DUST COLUMN (DUST DEVIL) OFF HIS LEFT WING. THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND HIT THE RUNWAY AND IMMEDIATELY VEERED TO THE LEFT OFF THE RUNWAY AND WENT INTO THE DIRT. DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT WAS NOT SUBSTANTIAL AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS ABLE TO TAXI BACK TO RAMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
