## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MONDAY AUGUST 31, 2020, THE PILOT WAS RETURNING FROM BATON ROUGE TO LAND AT LAKEFRONT AIRPORT,KNEW IN NEW ORLEANS.

IT WAS 1250 IN THE AFTERNOON AND A HEAVY SHOWER HAD JUST MOVED AWAY FROM THE AIRPORT.

THE PILOT WAS MAKING A VISUAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 36R. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN AND BEGAN BREAKING AND ABOUT HALFWAY DOWN THE RUNWAY HE BEGAN TO HYDROPLANE AND LOST ALL BREAKING ABILITY. THE PLANE THEN BEGAN SLIDING A LITTLE SIDEWAYS. THE PILOT DECIDED TO NOT ATTEMPT A GO-AROUND. THE AIRCRAFT THEN RAN OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY.

THE PILOT WAS ALONE IN THE AIRPLANE AND WAS NOT INJURED. THE LEFT ENGINE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GRASS AND IS DAMAGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
