## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N4467A ON VECTORS FOR RUNWAY 36L RNAV APPROACH AT NEW ORLEANS LAKEFRONT AIRPORT (NEW). PILOT WAS INFORMED THAT RUNWAY 36L WAS CLOSED AND THAT HE WOULD NEED TO CIRCLE TO LAND ON RUNWAY 36R. PILOT ACKNOWLEDGED THIS INSTRUCTION. SHORTLY AFTER THE APPROACH CLEARANCE, THE PILOT WAS AGAIN INDFROMED THAT HE WOULD NEED TO CIRCLE TO LAND ON RUNWAY 36R. THE PILOT ACKNOWLEDGED THIS INSTRUCTION. AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE "X" ON THE CLOSED RUNWAY 36L AND KNOCKED OFF ONE OF THE MAIN LANDING GEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
