## Narrative

PILOT STATED THAT CARGO SHIFTED AND SLIGHT TAIL WIND DURING TOUCHDOWN RESULTED IN AIRCRAFT VEERING TO THE RIGHT. RIGHT WING STRUCK TREE, SWINGING AIRCRAFT ENGINE INTO ANOTHER TREE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR20CA307](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR20CA307), Sep 11, 2020: Cub Crafters CC11-160 (N682CC), Big Creek, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll with a gusting wind, which resulted in a runway excursion and impact with a tree.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
