## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 17/2020, AT 1430 EDT, WHILE ON A PRIVATE FLIGHT WITHOUT PASSENGERS, N56870, A PIPER PA-28-140, REGISTERED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, LANDED ON RUNWAY 23 AT PAGE FIELD (FMY - FORT MYERS, FL) AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY DURING ROLLOUT DUE TO THE LOSS OF A PORTION OF THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR AT TOUCHDOWN. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST IN THE GRASS ADJACENT TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY 23, IN THE SAFETY AREA. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED A SHORT TIME EARLIER FROM PAGE FIELD (FMY). THIS FLIGHT WAS THE FIRST FLIGHT AFTER THE MAINTENANCE COMPLETED ON SEPTEMBER 08/2020.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
