## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS CONDUCTING LOW AND HIGH SPEED TAXI TESTS. THIS WAS STEP ONE IN HIS FLIGHT TEST PLAN. HE STATED THAT HE COMPLETED HIS LOW SPEED TAXI TESTS ON THE TAXIWAY WHILE TAXIING TO RUNWAY 35. HIS LOW SPEED TESTS CONDUCTED AT 10 - 20 KTS HAD NO ISSUES. HE ENTERED RUNWAY 35 AND BEGAN THE HIGH SPEED TESTS. HE STATED THAT AT ABOUT 30 KTS HE NOTICED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS PULLING TO THE LEFT AND HE WAS ABLE TO CORRECT IT WITH RIGHT RUDDER. HE STATED THAT AT ABOUT 40 KTS THE AIRCRAFT WAS PULLING HARDER TO THE LEFT AND ALONG WITH THE RIGHT RUDDER HE MOVED THE STICK TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT STATED THAT AT THIS POINT THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE GROUND. HE PULLED BACK THE THROTTLE AND FOCUSED ON GETTING THE AIRCRAFT BACK ON THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED BACK TO THE GROUND OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT CAME BACK OFF THE GROUND AND THEN WHEN IT CAME BACK DOWN THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE LEFT WING ON THE GROUND AND CAME TO REST ON MAIN LANDING GEAR AND THE ENGINE.

THE PILOT'S FLIGHT TEST PLAN SHOWS A LOW SPEED TAXI AT 50 PERCENT OF TAKE-OFF SPEED (30 - 40) MPH AND A HIGH SPEED TAXI AT 50 MPH WHICH THE FLIGHT TEST PLAN SHOWS AS 80 PERCENT OF STALL SPEED OF 60 MPH.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
