## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 02/10/2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 1015 HRS (MDT), N7798M, SN 22-0040, MOONEY M20F, DURING TAKEOFF AT CENTENNIAL AIRPORT, (KAPA) CENTENNIAL, CO. THE SOLE DOOR ON THE RIGHT SIDE POPPED OPEN AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED AFTER THE PILOT POSITIONED LANDING GEAR LEVER TO THE UP POSITION, DID NOT SEE A GEAR UP INDICATION LIGHT. CYCLED THE GEAR LEVER TO ENSURE IT WAS IN THE UP POSITION. PILOT THEN DECIDED TO RETURN BACK TO THE AIRPORT. CONTACTED THE CONTROL TOWER AND INFORM THEM OF THE DOOR OPEN AND NO UP LANDING GEAR INDICATION. THEY INSTRUCTED THE PILOT TO FLY NORTH AND WOULD VERIFY IF THE GEAR WAS DOWN. DURING THIS TIME PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CYCLE GEAR TO THE DOWN POSITION. DID NOT SEE ANY INDICATION LIGHT, BUT ABLE TO VERIFY THE ?GEAR DOWN INDICATOR? ON THE FLOORBOARD. UPON LANDING ON RUNWAY 17L, THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR AND NOSE WHEEL RETRACTED. AIRCRAFT SLIDE OFF RUNWAY AND STRUCK RUNWAY LIGHT. THE EVENT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE FOLLOWING AREAS: BOTH PROPELLER BLADES TIPS BENT; BOTH NOSE WHEEL DOORS DAMAGED AND PUSH RODS BENT; RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR CARRIAGE BUCKLED; RIGHT WING TIP DESTROYED; RIGHT AILERON OUTER EDGE CRINKLED. TWO PEOPLE ON BOARD. NO INJURIES. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITION (VMC) EXISTED DURING THIS TIME.
