## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FROM SIGNED PILOT STATEMENT:

"IT WAS MY 4TH LANDING - 2 VFR TG AND RNAV-22 CIRCLE TO LAND RWY 4 AT FDW - TG.

NORMAL PATTERN - BUT HAD ANOTHER AIRCRAFT IN THE PATTERN - HE WAS GOING TO LAND BEHIND ME. I FIXATED ON CARB HEAT, TALKED TO OTHER AIRCRAFT, SKIPPED THE GEAR AND GOT THE FLAPS.

I DIDN'T GET MY GUMPS CHECK DONE ON DOWNWIND, BASE OR FINAL. I WAS CONCENTRATING ON AIRSPEED AND LANDING ATTITUDE PICTURE.

NICE LANDING EXCEPT FOR GEAR BEING UP. AFTER THE AIRCRAFT STOPPED, [I] CONFIRMED MY PASSENGER WAS OK, TURNED OFF POWER AND SWITCH, GOT THE KEY AND WENT TO FBO. I DID TELL THE GUY BEHIND ME I HAD LANDED GEAR UP AND HE WOULD HAVE TO LAND SOMEWHERE ELSE."

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
