## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 13, 2020, AT APPROXIMATELY 1:47 P.M. EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME (1747 ZULU), KIT FOX, N47KC FLIPPED OVER ON ITS BACK DURING THE LANDING ROLLOUT ON RUNWAY 28 AT THE ANDY BARNHART MEMORIAL AIRPORT (3OH0), NEW CARLISE, OHIO. THE POST-CRASH FIRE DESTROYED THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES WHEN THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER. THE AIRCRAFT WAS OPERATING UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF 14 CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS PART 91 AS A PERSONAL FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. THE 1656Z SPRINGFIELD-BECKLEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, SPRINGFIELD, OH WEATHER REPORTED WINDS VARIABLE AT FOUR KNOTS, VISIBILITY 10 STATUTE MILES, SKY CLEAR.

THE PILOT STATED HE DID A TWO WHEEL MAIN GEAR LANDING AND DID NOT USE THE BRAKES DURING THE ROLL OUT. THE AIRCRAFT?S SPEED, LANDING AND ROLL OUT WERE GOOD. HE HEARD A BANG WHEN THE PROPELLER HUB HIT THE GROUND DURING THE ROLL OUT. PROPELLER STRIKES WERE OBSERVED ON THE GRASS RUNWAY BEFORE THE PROPELLER HUB IMPACT MARK.

THE AIRCRAFT OWNER HAD REPLACED THE MANUFACTURE?S LANDING GEAR BUNGEE SHOCK CORD WITH AN AFTER MARKET SPRING GEAR. THIS MOVED THE LANDING GEAR AXLE APPROXIMATELY 2.7 INCHES REARWARD FROM THE AXLE?S ORIGINAL POSITION. THIS WAS THE FIRST LANDING MADE WITH THE NEW LANDING GEAR INSTALLATION.
