## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS PRACTICING TWO WHEEL LANDINGS AT KRLD WITH A PREVIOUS EMPLOYEE OF THE COMPANY OWNED AIRCRAFT. WHEN LANDING ON RUNWAY 26, PILOT REPORTS APPLYING FORWARD PRESSURE ON THE STICK TO KEEP WEIGHT OFF THE TAIL, AND ON THE MAIN GEAR. HE THEN REPORTS APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BREAKS AND REDUCING POWER. THE COMBINATION OF BREAKS AND REDUCING POWER SHIFTED THE CG FORWARD, AND RESULTED PROP STRIKING THE GRAND, AND ULTIMATELY RESULTING IN THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPING ON ITS BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR21LA029](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR21LA029), Oct 27, 2020: Cessna A185 (N814BA), Richland, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain airplane control during landing, which resulted in a nose over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
