ON OCTOBER 29, 2020, AT APPROXIMATELY 0945 PDT, THE LAS VEGAS FLIGHT STANDARDS DISTRICT OFFICE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF A PART 91 AIRPLANE CRASH INVOLVING A 1974 CESSNA 310R TWIN-ENGINE AIRPLANE, REGISTRATION NUMBER N101G, SERIAL NUMBER 310R0017.

N101G DEPARTED THE NORTH LAS VEGAS (VGT) AIRPORT EN ROUTE TO GILLESPIE FIELD (SEE) AIRPORT WHEN THEY REQUESTED TO CHANGE THEIR DESTINATION TO THE HENDERSON (HND) AIRPORT BECAUSE THEY HAD TO SHUT DOWN ONE OF THE ENGINES. APPROXIMATELY THREE MINUTES LATER N101G CRASHED 4.5 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE HENDERSON EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (HND) INTO A METAL FENCE BETWEEN A RESIDENTIAL AREA AND A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL AREA.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

Also causal was the loss of power in the left engine due to oil starvation.…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
