## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N76933 A CESSNA 140 LOST CONTROL DURING LANDING AT EDINBURG AIRPORT (EBG). THE PILOT AND SOLE HUMAN OCCUPANT OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT INJURED. PILOT STATED HIS DOG WAS ONBOARD AND WAS ALSO NOT INJURED. HE STATED THAT HE WAS PERFORMING TOUCH AND GOES AND ON THE FOURTH ATTEMPT, THE MAIN WHEELS TOUCHED DOWN ON RUNWAY 32. WHILE THE TAIL WHEEL WAS STILL IN THE AIR, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT AND COMPENSATORY LEFT RUDDER DID LITTLE TO CORRECT THE SWERVE. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE PAVED SURFACE AND WENT INTO THE GRASS INFIELD. THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR BROKE OFF AT THE ATTACH POINT AND THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON ITS LEFT WING AND FUSELAGE. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE AS IT CONTACTED THE GROUND.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
