## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED HAD WAS HOVERING AND LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO SET DOWN. HE THEN SAW A PLACE HE THOUGHT WAS SUITABLE AND LANDED. HE STATED AS HE LANDED THE SKID WENT INTO A RUT HE DIDN'T SEE AND BEGAN TO ROLL. BEFORE HE COULD RECOVER, THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED OVER ON TO ITS SIDE ENOUGH TO WHERE THE MAIN ROTOR MADE CONTACT AND THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED ON ITS SIDE WITH FULL POWER GOING TO THE ROTORS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN21LA081](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN21LA081), Nov 7, 2020: Schweizer 269C (N2081G), Rhame, ND, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot landed the helicopter on unsuitable terrain, which resulted in a rollover.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
