## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 9TH, 2020 AT 1724 LOCAL TIME N839BA STRUCK A DEER WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 12 AT GARY/CHICAGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KGYY), GARY, INDIANA. N839BA SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE.

THE PIC STATED THAT JUST AS THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHDOWN HE SAW A FLASH OF AN ANIMAL PASSING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT AND FELT A FAINT BUMP. THE CREW TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE HANGAR FOR INSPECTION WHERE MINOR DAMAGE WAS FOUND TO THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS, RIGHT FLAP, RIGHT SPOILER, AND RIGHT WHEEL WELL FAIRING. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
